You agree to the terms of service below, and the Terms of Use for Substack, the technology provider.
Welcome to The Covert Nomad.
By reading, subscribing, or just lurking in the shadows here, you agree to the following terms — because the world’s already lawless enough without me getting sued by a bloke with too much time and an overzealous solicitor.
1. What I Do Here
I write survival guides, investigative rants, and the occasional existential meltdown in paragraph form. None of this is financial advice, legal advice, or therapy (I mean, if you’re using this as therapy, we both need to talk). It’s entertainment, information, and maybe a nudge toward staying alive long enough to watch it all fall apart.
2. No Liability (Because, Obviously)
If you take my advice, follow my survival tips, or act on anything I write here and it goes sideways, that’s on you.
If you buy a burner phone, disappear off-grid, and wind up arguing with a goat in the Pyrenees — that’s between you, the goat, and your poor life choices.
I’m not liable for anything:
Lost data
Hurt feelings
Lost time
Spontaneous vanishing acts
Global collapse (though I might document it)
3. Copyright and Content (Don’t Steal My Stuff)
I own the words. The sarcasm. The sweat.
You’re welcome to share links, quotes, or excerpts (with credit).
But don’t copy-paste full articles, repackage my survival guides, or pretend you’re The Covert Nomad.
I’m barely holding it together as it is.
4. Comments and Community (Don’t Be a Jerk)
If you comment, reply, or send me a rant, keep it useful, funny, or at least not a hate crime.
I reserve the right to delete, ignore, or publicly mock anything that crosses the line. The line’s fuzzy, but trust me — you’ll know.
5. Payments (When I Get Around to Asking for Them)
If you subscribe or pledge, you’ll eventually pay me actual money (once I flip the switch). When that happens:
Refunds are rare, but if I mess up, talk to me.
Payments are handled through Substack’s system (they’re the ones with your card details, not me).
6. External Links (Proceed at Your Own Risk)
I sometimes link to other sites, articles, or resources.
I’m not responsible for what happens when you click away.
If you end up on a dodgy prepping forum or buying a tactical vest you’ll never wear, that’s on you.
7. I Can Change These Terms (Because Life Changes)
These terms might change.
The world changes, the rules change, sometimes even I change (rarely).
If I update these, I’ll probably drop a sarcastic note at the end of a post, but it’s on you to check back.
In Summary:
I write words.
You read them.
Don’t be an idiot about it.
I’m not liable for your bad decisions.
Thanks for coming to my legal TED Talk.
Stay sharp. Stay moving. Stay sarcastic.
